RoadViewer
is a simple, easy-to-use, wireless traffic information solution created
to help manage daily roadway travel, to allow users to move more intelligently
and faster with improved safety and security, to help avoid incidents
and to deal with the consequences of extreme events.
RoadViewer gives users the ability to see live images of local traffic
cameras on multiple types of wireless devices or the in-dash telematic
system to avoid traffic delays, choose the best route, adjust their schedule
accordingly and help users get to their destination on time, every time.
RoadViewer captures live, real-time video images from traffic camera networks
and sends them, along with alerts or other text-based information, to
cellular phones, Smart Phones, wirelessly enabled PDA’s, Pocket
PC’s, tablets and similar handhelds, as well as the in-dash telematic
systems in vehicles and to desktop environments.
Users are able to adjust
their commuting, delivery or trip schedules and plan or change routes
based on receiving real-time traffic images. RoadViewer software also
works with existing GPS, sensor and map applications, and integrates with
intelligent transportation system (ITS) platforms for advanced traffic
management. There are RoadViewer packages for the individual daily commuter,
businesses that manage a fleet of vehicles or a city’s emergency
service units who need to move quickly through the streets.
